Explorers (age 3 through 1st grade)
Our Explorers are growing rapidly physically and we are here to help them grow spiritually. We are helping the young children learn about religion through relationships. By creating an atmosphere that invites religious growth and learning we are helping build a future of well balanced children. Come and join the fun the children have each week exploring their world through fun and exciting projects. Building community is very important and we look forward to seeing our friends every week.

Wendi Bender, Teacher
I am very excited to now be the weekly teacher for the Innovators! Having the opportunity to share our time together every week will be a joy. Our current curriculum is Timeless Themes featuring sessions that present the most familiar Bible stores,
engaging the children in an exploration of biblical themes. These themes will enhance the children's understanding and appreciation of our biblical traditions while still helping them develop and apply the Unitarian Universalist principles to their daily lives.

Seekers (grades 5 and up) and Youth (grades 7 and up)
The Seekers are using a world religions curriculum called Why Do Bad Things Happen? In April we had a lesson on Buddhism and then two very special classes of improv with Linda Frost, who directs the Take One Improv group. Everybody had a good time and Linda plans to continue meeting with the group monthly until September when they will have a chance to perform during the Improv Auction item on September 20! What fun! Thank you Linda! Beginning in May, we will divide this class into two: 5th and 6th grade will continue to be called the Seekers. 7th grade and up will be called Youth, though they will continue to combine for improv classes. The Seekers will continue to meet downstairs; the Youth will meet on the deck. We have found a long narrow tent structure that will fit there and provide shade. We will put sides on it and bring in a space heater for cold days. We would like to have a collection of blankets and sweatshirts for the youth to use as well. If you have any you no longer need, please contact Treva. Both classes will continue with the same curriculum.
